Florence A. ‘Flo’ (Robert) Rocheleau

LOWELL Florence A. ‘Flo’ (Robert) Rocheleau, 81, of Dracut passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Willow Manor Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Arthur R. Rocheleau who passed away in 1982.
She was born on September 17, 1932 in Dracut and was a daughter of the late Wilfrid Robert and the late Blanche (Laforge) Robert. She attended the area schools in Dracut, graduating from Dracut High School.

From the early 1950’s through 1970’s her family owned Giant Wash on Middlesex Street where she worked. During the 1960’s, Flo and her husband, Arthur, also volunteered for The American Red Cross for many years. She was also employed as a machine operator for General Electric for 15 years before her retirement. She worked very hard for many years, but family was always the most important aspect of her life.

Flo enjoyed spending time in the outdoors and taking care of animals. She especially loved feeding birds, squirrels and chipmunks around her house. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family, especially when everyone gathered together.

She is survived by two sons, Arthur G. Rocheleau and his companion, Linda Boisvert of Lowell, and Brian E. Rocheleau of Dracut; her beloved grandchildren, Cassandra Ouellette and her husband, George of West Peabody, Jason Rocheleau of Dracut, Aubrey Rocheleau of Lowell, William Rocheleau of Dracut, and Rebecca Rocheleau of Dracut; her four great grandchildren, William, Devin, Morgan, and Benjamin. She is also survived by a daughter in law, Cindy Rocheleau of Lowell.
Flo was also the mother of the late Ronnie Rocheleau; sister of the late Pauline Edmondson, Irene Tardiff, Theresa Dadoly, Francis Robert, Wilfrid Robert, and Ernest Robert.

YOU ARE INVITED TO HER CALLING HOURS FROM 4 UNTIL 8 P.M. ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 13, 2014. ON THURSDAY, HER FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 8 A.M. AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL (978 OR 800) 458-6816. HER FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT STE. MARGUERITE D’YOUVILLE PARISH, 1340 LAKEVIEW AVE., DRACUT, AT 9 A.M.. BURIAL IN ST. JOSEPH CEMETERY.
