Elsie A. Wolf
"Guggi"

LOWELL Elsie A. (Correia) Wolf, 87, of Lowell, died after a long illness, with her family by her side on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Palm Manor Nursing Home in Chelmsford. She was the widow of Harry Wolf who passed away in 1972.

Born November 17, 1922, in Lowell, she was a daughter of the late Jack, and the late Mary (Bettencourt) Correia, she was educated in Lowell. She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church.

Mrs. Wolf lived in Lowell for most of her life except for a short period of time living in Nebraska and California. She was employed as a stitcher and union shop steward for 25 years with Ideal Dress until they closed. She then worked for Mel Hoffman Furniture and later, Wang Laboratories before her retirement in 1984.

Elsie loved music, dancing, traveling, bingo and spending time with her family, friends and her animals. Although she didn't get to see those she had worked with for many years, she never forgot those that were special to her.

She is survived by her two daughters, Marie "Mitzi" Wolf of Lowell and Judith Marr and her husband, James, of Chelmsford; her 12 grandchildren, Rob Makris and his wife, Rebecca, of Lawrence, Steve Makris and his wife, Ashley, of Plymouth, Eric Corriea and his wife, Maureen, of Florida, Wendi Fox and her husband, Paul, of Tyngsboro, Harry Wolf of Chelmsford, Kandi and Pamela Doerffler of Ohio, David, Danny, Doug and Debbie Wolf of Louisiana and Daffney Wolf of New Hampshire; 15 great grandcildren and her loving step grandchildren, Laura, Kelly, Michelle, John, James, Julieanne and Jeanne.

She was the Mother of the late Dennis Wolf who passed away in 2007 and the late Gary Wolf who passed away in 1998. She was also a dear and loving friend and companion for over 35 years to the late Rae Gauthier who passed away in 2005.
