Elizabeth M. ‘Betty’ Dragoli
"Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Best Friend"

TYNGSBORO Elizabeth M. ‘Betty’ (DiPucchio) Dragoli, 95, a longtime Lowell resident, currently of Tyngsboro, died peacefully, Monday, November 18, 2013, at Fairhaven Health Care Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of the late Guerrino Dragoli who passed away in 1977.
A daughter of the late Carlo and the late Rose (Froscello) DiPucchio, she was born April 13, 1918, in Norwich, Connecticut, graduating from Norwich Free Academy, Class of 1937, where she played high school sports and earned her red blazer.
In 1957, she came to Lowell, making her home in the Belvedere Section of the City, and was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church. She was very active in the Lowell Senior Center and the Salvation Army. She enjoyed swimming and loved the ocean. She was a boxing enthusiast and attended the Golden Gloves with her husband Chick. She and her husband were also avid dancers. Her home was always open to family and friends and who ever crossed her threshold became one of her own. Her motto was "the table invites".
Betty worked as a Nurses Aide at the former St. John’s Hospital and as a home health aide for the Lowell Visiting Nurses before her retirement.
She is survived by her children, Bernardine M. Birch and her husband, Francis, of Worcester, Paul C. Dragoli and his wife, Arlene, of Tyngsboro, Ersilia R. O’Toole and her husband, Michael, of Bedford, NH, and Ovidia L. Dragoli and Timothy E. Hall of Nashua, NH; six grandchildren, Christopher Birch and his wife, Cathy Lynn, Margaret Trifero and her husband, Richard, Colleen Lankford and her husband, David, Darren O' Toole and his wife, Jennifer, Christina Francis and her husband, Philip, and Kirk Czelewicz and his wife, Julie; and fourteen great grandchildren.
YOU ARE INVITED TO HER CALLING HOURS 2 UNTIL 6 P.M. ON SUNDAY, NOV 24. ON MONDAY, HER FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 9 A.M. AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816. HER FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, 144 EAST MERRIMACK ST., LOWELL, AT 10 A.M. BURIAL IN ST. MARY CEMETERY.
