Eliseu S. ‘Lee’ Silva
CHELMSFORD Eliseu S. ‘Lee’ Silva, 78, of Chelmsford, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 22, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Mary (Silva) Silva whom he married in 1959 at St. Anthony Church in Lowell.
He was born in Graciosa, Azores, Portugal on December 29, 1939 and was a son of the late Joh Silva and the late Herminia (Medina) Silva. He was raised in Graciosa, where he attended the area schools, before relocating to the United States when he was 13 years old. He settled in Lowell where he continued his education.
He resided in Chelmsford and was a communicant of St. Anthony Church in Lowell. He was employed as an assembly line worker at Pandel for over 10 years, prior to that, he worked at Grace Shoe for many years.
In addition to his wife, Mary Silva of Chelmsford, he is survived by four children, Marylou Roy and her husband, Richard of Pelham, NH, Edward Silva and his wife, Laurie of Pepperell, Eliseu Silva Jr. of Dracut, and Steve Silva and his wife, Faith of Townsend. He is also survived by five grandchildren Jessica and her husband Harry Lonergan, Sarah and her husband Amia Stec, Zachary Silva and his wife Danielle, Amanda Silva, James Silva. 3 Great Grandchildren, Jackson Silva, Jocelyn Lonergan and Liam Lonergan. His brother and sister, Mario Silva and his wife Debbie of Tyngsboro, and Rosemary Cunha and her husband Albert of Pelham.
He was the brother of the late Albert Silva.

ON THURSDAY, HIS FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 9 A.M. AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL, 978-458-6816. HIS FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED THURSDAY AT ST. ANTHONY CHURCH, 893 CENTRAL STREET, LOWELL, AT 10 A.M.. BURIAL IN ST. JOSEPH CEMETERY.
