Elia 'China' Ortiz
LOWELL Elia “China” Ortiz, 67, of
Lowell passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Lowell General Hospital
surrounded by loved ones.
She was born on May 8, 1952 in
Salina, Puerto Rico to America Maria Rodriguez and the late Felix
Ortiz. She was one of their 8 children. She avidly enjoyed cooking for
her family, listening to music, dancing and spending time with her
partner, Miguel Rivera Sr..
She is survived by her sons, Ricardo
Rosado and his wife Leslie, Miguel Rivera Jr., and Luis A. Cruz Jr. and
his wife, Sasha; her daughters, Maria Rosado and Carmen Cruz. She was
the mother to the late Victor Rosado Jr.
She also raised her two
grandchildren, Ellise Rosado and Ricardo Rosado Jr., as her own. She
leaves behind 22 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces,
nephews, cousins, and friends.
