Eleanor A. Lovette

CHELMSFORD Eleanor A. (Laffey) (Antonelli) Lovette, 83, longtime Chelmsford resident, died July 15, at Lowell General Hospital.

Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late John and Matilda Laffey.
Mrs. Lovette graduated from Lowell Public Schools. She held a number of jobs in the Lowell and Lawrence areas, retiring from the Tewksbury School Department.

She enjoyed vacationing in Tropical Destinations, especially Hawaii and Puerto Rico, and area beaches.
She was a member of the Chelmsford Lodge of Elks and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans’ of Foreign Wars Post 662, Walker Rogers.

Mrs. Lovette treasured time spent with her grandsons, Nick and Sam.

She was the former wife of the late Charles P. Antonelli, Sr., and the late John J. Lovette, and is survived by her sons, Charles P. Antonelli, Jr., and his wife, Joan, Robert R. Antonelli and his wife, Janice, and Brian E. Antonelli, all of Lowell, and David P. Antonelli of Chelmsford; her daughters, Pamela J. Dupras of Chelmsford, and Brenda P. Diodati and her husband, John, of Vermont.

She is also survived by grandsons, Nicholas and Samuel Antonelli; her grand daughters, Karen White and her husband, Marc, and Kelly Marcotte; a great grandson, Michael Marcotte-Danger; her dear life long friend, Connie Cliff, and by nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Lovette was also the sister of the late John J. Laffey and sister in law of his wife, Lorraine, and grandmother of the late Michael Marcotte who passed away in 2000.
