Edward James St. Cyr
LOWELL Edward James St. Cyr, 69, of Lowell, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Winthrop on September 22, 1947 and was a son of the late Leo J. St. Cyr and the late Rose (Angelo) St. Cyr. He was raised in Billerica where he attended the area schools, graduating from Billerica High School. He later earned his Bachelors Degree at UMass Lowell.
In 1966 Edward enlisted with the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan and Del Rio, Texas until his honorable discharge in 1970 as a Sergeant.
He resided in the Christian Hill Neighborhood and was a communicant of St. Michael Church. He was employed as a Weapons System Engineer at Raytheon for many years before his retirement. He was a very handy man and enjoyed working on projects around the house, as well as spending time in his workshop.
He is survived by his significant other, Lorraine Tunstall of Lowell; and his son, William St. Cyr of Lowell.
