Edward J. Turner
LOWELL Edward J. Turner, 80, of Lowell, passed away Friday, November 21, 2014 at Lowell General Hospital. He was the husband of the late Marlene J. (York) Turner who passed away October 30th, 2014. Edward married his wife, Marlene, in 1954 while he was proudly serving in the United States Air Force. They would have celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on November 28th.
A son of the late Ernest Turner and the late Margaret (McShane) Turner, he was born October 6, 1934, in Lowell. Edward resided in Lowell for over 40 years. He enjoyed remodeling, socializing with friends, spending time with family, deep sea fishing, and “givin’ it hell”.
He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Perino and her husband, Andy Chambers, of East Patchogue, NY, and his son, Scott Turner and his wife, Kerry, of Groton. He is also survived by several grandchildren including, Lisa Strahan, Jennifer “TAZ” Notarnicola, Brian Perino, Amanda Wegman, Derrick Turner, Abby Turner, and Lincoln Turner; his great grandchildren, Emma Strahan and Ellie Strahan; and many nieces and nephews including Nancy O’Flaherty and Mary O’Flarherty.
He was the brother of the late Margaret Hunter, Ernest “Ernie” Turner, Ruth Drapal, Robert “Sonny” Turner, Virginia Turner, William “Billy” Turner, Jane “Jenny” Hololob, James “Jimmy” Turner, John “Johnny” Turner, George “Georgie” Turner, Hugh “Hughey” Turner, Richard “Dickie” Turner, and Gerald Turner.
