Edward J. Busby
LOWELL Edward J. Busby, 51, a lifelong Lowell resident, died unexpectedly at home after a long battle with cancer. He was a son of Katherine 'Mitzi' (Egan) Busby of Lowell and the late Joseph A. Busby.
Born November 23, 1960, in Lowell, he attended St. Peter’s Grammar School and Austin Preparatory School.
Edward loved spending time with his family and close friends, and was especially fond of his dog, Molly. An avid sports fan, Mr. Busby followed all the local teams, and also enjoyed playing golf.
He was a communicant of the former St. Peter’s Church and the Immaculate Conception Church. A hard worker, he had just recently retired from Special Services with the City of Lowell, and had worked twenty two years for Merrimack Magnetics.
In addition to his mother, 'Mitzi', he is survived by his cousins, Thomas E. Boyle of Lowell, Kerry A. Boyle-Kelly of Lowell, Kathleen E. Brewer of Hartly, DE, Edward A. Boyle of Lowell, Kelly A. Ducey of Hudson, NH, Kate A. Schermerhorn of Mendham, NJ, Sean D. Boyle of Lowell, and Maura A. Panneton of Lowell and several close friends.
Edward held a special place in his heart for the nurses at Saints Cancer Center who took care of him for the past few years.
