Edith May King
LILBURN, GA Edith May (Hall) King, 81, of Lilburn, Georgia, a native of North Chelmsford, died Wednesday, February 1, 2012. Edith had relocated to Georgia to her daughter Elinor's home where she and her granddaughter, Sunday, lovingly and caringly took care of her for five years before she peacefully passed away.
A daughter of the late Edward Hall and the late Edith Mae Hall, she grew up in the Lowell area, and worked as a registered nurse for the former St . John's Hospital in Lowell for more than forty five years prior to her retirement.
More recently she made her home in Lilburn, Georgia, and enjoyed time spent with her family. She also enjoyed Keno and Bingo. When she lived in New England, she was a season ticket holder at the Merrimack Reperatory Theatre, and thourouly enjoyed her 'theatre nights'.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in North Chelmsford.
The widow of the late Edward Scott King, she is survived by her children, Elinor and Dr. James Logan of Lilburn, GA, Mary Floyd of Columbus, OH, Carol King of San Francisco, CA, Irene Hodges of Dallas, TX, and Kevin King and his wife, Rowena, of Timberlake, NC; fourteen grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren; her childhood friend, Irene Renaud of Lowell; and several nieces and nephews.
