LOWELL Edith Rodrigues, a lifetime resident of Lowell, MA. passed away Friday May 25, 2012 at Saints Medical Center in Lowell, MA at the age of 86.
She was born in 1925, attended Lowell schools, married August A. Rodrigues in 1945, and worked as supervisor for the Lowell Mills throughout her career. She was a patron of St. Margaret Parish, volunteered at Lowell General Hospital Auxiliary for many years, and contributed to several charities.
Edith was a polished woman who had a wonderful smile that could brighten up any room. She enjoyed socializing, traveling, fine dining,cats and most recently spending time with her family enjoying her son’s lake house.
She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anele Mikalopas and is survived by her husband of 67 years, August A. Rodrigues, her son, Joseph A. Rodrigues, his wife Lorraine Rodrigues and two granddaughters, Kimberly Laorenza and Debra Rufiange, both of New Hampshire. Four great grandchildren. Krystina, Robert, Dylan and Mitchell. One great great grandson, Ashton. Her brother, John Mikalopas of New York and her nieces, Rene, Yvonne and Anona, and her nephew, John Jr.
She Will be truly missed by all.
