Dorothy M. DiDomenico
"Beloved Sister and Mother"

LOWELL Dorothy M. DiDomenico, 91, of Lowell, passed away peacefully on February 29, 2012, after a brief illness, at Mashpee Care and Rehabilitation Center in Mashpee, MA.

Born September 22, 1920, in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Michael A. Boyle and the late Mary (Ryan) Boyle of Lowell.
She attended the local schools and worked for years for the New Knit Manufacturing Company in Lowell as an inspector. She also worked at the Prince Spaghetti Plant in Lowell and for the Dracut School System in the 1960's.

Dorothy enjoyed traveling with her husband and daughter, was a great ballroom dancer, and an avid Boston Red Sox Fan. She was a communicant of St. Michael's Church in Lowell.

Married to the late John A. DiDomenico for Fifty Nine years, she is survived by her daughter, Donna Whitney and her husband, Rodney, of Marston Mills, MA; her sister, Geraldine Hirschkorn of Twin Falls, ID, a sister in law, Mary DiDomenico of Lowell and many nieces and nephews.

She was also the sister of the late Gladys Bonura, and the late Rita Brousseau, and sister in law of the late Ann Moore and the late Ida Deluca.

YOU ARE INVITED TO HER CALLING HOURS FROM 6:30-8 P.M. ON MONDAY, MARCH 5, AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816. ON TUESDAY, HER FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 9 A.M. AT THE FUNERAL HOME. HER FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT ST. MICHAEL'S CHURCH AT 10 A.M.. A PROCESSION WILL FOLLOW FOR HER BURIAL IN ST. PATRICK CEMETERY.
