Dorothy T. ‘Queenie’ Curry

"Beloved Mother"

LOWELL Dorothy T. ‘Queenie’ Curry, of Lowell, died Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at her home after a long illness with her family by her side. She was the widow of the late Joseph Curry who passed away in 1983.

She was educated in the local schools, attending St. Peter’s Grammar School, and St. Patrick's High School. After graduating, she traveled the United States, visiting all of the lower 48 States. She then made her home in California until her return to Lowell. She made her home in the Highlands Section of the City for over thirty years, and was a communicant of St. Margaret’s Church. She worked for MA/COM, retiring after many years of service. She enjoy spending time with her family, shopping, and traveling, especially to Foxwoods.

She is survived by her children, Karen Allen of Attleboro, Donna Boucher and her husband, Thomas, of Chelmsford, William Nadeau and his wife, Pam, of Dracut, Joseph Curry of Wareham, Joanne Curry of Lowell, and Sean Curry of Wareham; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as many cousins, including Edward and Marlene Turner of Lowell, and her special cousins, Rosemary and Tammy both of Lowell. She is also survived by her beloved Yorkie, Jack.
