Doris R. Glancy

Mrs. Doris R. (Allard) Glancy, 90, of East Chelmsford, died Monday, August 7, 2017, with her family at her side, at Palm Center after a brief illness. She was the widow of the late Edward Glancy who passed away in 2008.
Born May 14, 1927, in Lowell, she was a daughter of the late George J. and the late Blanche (Simard) Allard, and was educated in the Lowell and Groton school systems.
Mrs.Glancy resided on Brick Kiln Road for most of her life. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart and St. Patrick's Church. She enjoyed spending time at the Chelmsford Senior Center, as well as crafts, sewing and crocheting.
She is survived by her five daughters, Jane A. Glancy of West Palm Beach, Florida, Ann T. Gucwa and her husband, Robert, of Daytona, Florida, Margaret A. O'Brien and her husband, Nelson, of Haverhill, Theresa R. Pastman and her husband, Steven, of Nashua, New Hampshire, and Kathleen Morse and her husband, Donald, of Barrington, NH; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three brothers and a sister in law Rudolphe Allard of Myrtle Beach, SC, Richard A. Allard and his wife, Sylvia, of Milford, NH; her sister Mrs. Lucianne Norman of York, ME; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Maurice P. Allard, and grandmother of the late Jason Gucwa.
