Doris H. McCarron
LOWELL Doris H. McCarron, a lifelong Lowell resident, died Wednesday, January 28, 2009, at Lifecare Center of the Merrimack Valley after a long illness.
A daughter of the late Robert and the late Ethel (Clark) McCarron, she was born August 21, 1918, in Lowell, and attended the Butler Junior High School, and graduated from Lowell High School.
Miss McCarron worked for Raytheon Corporation in Waltham before becoming affiliated with the Registry of Deeds, retiring after over 20 years. She was formerly a communicant of St. Peter's Church, and a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church. She was very active in the Oblate Association, liked to travel and cook, and will be remembered as an affectionate and loving and great aunt.
She is survived by her sister, Arlene Cox of Lowell; and nieces and nephews, Colleen Lovering of Lowell, Karen Merchant and her husband, Jack, of Windham, NH, Gail Jaskal of Lowell, John Cox and his wife, Colleen, of Lowell, and Bob Cox and his wife, Leslie, of Dracut; and nine great nieces and great nephews. She also leaves a close friend Leo Gorman of Georgia.
She was also the sister of the late Fr. Francis McCarron and sister in law of the late John E. Cox.
