Donna Lee Whelan
Longtime Lowell Resident
LOWELL Donna Lee Whelan, 64, of Lowell, died Saturday, March 19, 2011, at Fairhaven Nursing Home after a long illness with her family by her side.
Born September 21, 1946, in Fitchburg, MA, she was a daughter of the late James W. and the late Martha E. (Hawthorne) Whelan, and was educated in the local area schools.
She worked as a housekeeper for the former Town House until it closed. For many years, she resided at the Bishop Markham Housing in Lowell before illness forced her to move to Fairhaven Nursing Home.
She is survived by her family Donna Croteau, Linda Alicea, Janice Guilbeault, Tina Colon, Barbara Surprenant, and Robin McMakin. She is also survived by her sisters, Jo Ann Whelan of Worester and Phyllis LeBlanc of Leominster, as well as many good friends and family.
She was also predeceased by Richard ‘Dick’ Alberty and Michael Lewis.
