David Francis Rondeau
United States Army Veteran

LOWELL David Francis Rondeau, 56, of Lowell, died Friday, May 3, 2013 after a short battle with cancer. He was the husband of Rhonda (Lyons) Rondeau with whom he would have celebrated their twenty-first wedding anniversary November 14, 2013.
Born June 16, 1956, in Lowell, he was a son of the late Joseph Rondeau, and the late Dorothy (Farley) Rondeau, attended the local schools, and graduated from Lowell High School.
Mr. Rondeau joined the United States Army in 1976 and served his country for 3 years. While in the service, he was proud to be part of funeral details for his fellow servicemen.
He resided in the Pawtucketville section of Lowell and was an avid Boston sports fan, especially the Boston Bruins and the New England Patriots. He enjoyed taking trips to Hampton Beach, Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun, and the daily races at Suffolk Downs. He also enjoyed watching westerns and traveling to Boston for weekend getaways. He was a quiet man, but when he laughed you couldn't help but laugh too.
In addition to his beloved wife, Rhonda, he is survived by his four siblings, Joseph Rondeau and his wife, Maureen Chartier of Lowell, Dorothy Rondeau of Lowell, Gloria Vazquez of Billerica, and Barbara Kousen and her husband, Shonn of North Hills, CA; his nieces and nephews, Lisa Pappas and her fiance, Eric Willette of Tyngsboro, Adam Vazquez and his fiance, Ana Laguilles of Fitchburg, Tammy Marquis and her husband, Joe of Simi Valley, CA, Crystal Mello and her husband, Michael of Lowell, April Charter of Chelmsford, and Scott Rondeau of Lowell; his great nieces and nephews, Mia Pappas, Tyler, Jenna, Trevor Marquis, and Mikey Mello; his godson who he loved like his own, Hunter Gaskell; and a close and dear friend, Linda Wood. The family would like to especially thank Maureen from the Lowell VNA Hospice Program. She was wonderful to us in short time we needed her assistance.
He was also the uncle of the late Joseph Rondeau.
