David F. Silva
BOYNTON BEACH, FL David F. Silva, 88, of Boynton Beach, Florida, formerly of Lowell, died Monday, January 26, 2015, at John F. Kennedy Hospital in Florida. He was the beloved husband of Mildred B. (Branco) Silva, with whom he shared Sixty Five years of marriage.
A son of the late John F. and the late Virginia F. (Fernandes) Silva, he was born June 9, 1926, in Madeira, Portugal. At a young age, he came to the United States with his family, and was raised and educated in Lowell. He served with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Making his home in Lowell, he was the proprietor of several Esso and Exxon service stations around the Lowell area, including Dave's Exxon until his retirement in 1987. He was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church.
He loved salt water fishing and spending time with family vacationing on Cape Cod. He also enjoyed golfing and was a member of Vesper Country Club. In 1989, he moved to Florida in his retirement to spend time with his wife and to golf.
Besides his wife, Mildred, he is survived by his sons, Dr. David A. Silva and his wife, Dr. Rebecca Gomes, of El Cerrito, CA, and Allan Silva of North Billerica; his grandchildren, David Allan Silva of North Billerica, and Estrella Silva of El Cerrito, CA; and many nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late Michael Silva and the brother of the late Norbert Silva, the late John Silva, and the late Joel Silva.
