David F. Curtis
LOWELL David F. Curtis, 56, of Lowell, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, May 10, 2015, in Lowell, after a battle with cancer. He was the widower of the late Charlene Curtis.
Born January 13, 1959, in Winchester, he was a son of Patricia (Marshall) Curtis of Florida and the late Harry Curtis. He was raised and educated in Billerica, graduating from Billerica Memorial High School.
He made his home in Lowell, and was a member of the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Post 662, Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, camping, woodworking, and was an avid outdoorsman.
David worked as a handyman for most of his life. He also worked for Mr. Plumber’s in Nashua, New Hampshire and as a chef at the former Ground Round in Chelmsford.
Besides his mother, Patricia, he is survived by his children, Mary Curtis, Nancy Gardner, Jackie Gardner, Ashley McCarthy, Steven McCarthy, Danny McCarthy, and Karilynn Gardner all of Lowell, and Andrea Merrill of Tewksbury; his sister, Maryellen Jaskolka of Lowell; his Godchild, Amber Phillips of Lowell; his closest friend, Robert Pratt Sr., of Lowell; and several grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his dear friends the late Richard Decelle and the late Karolynn Lund.
