David A. Oliveira
LOWELL David A. Oliveira, 62, of Lowell, died Monday, September 7, 2009, at Lowell General Hospital after a brief illness. He was a son of Barbara P. (Godin) Oliveira of Dracut and the late Manuel J. Oliveira.
Born November 10, 1946, in Boston, he was raised in Lowell and educated in the Lowell Schools.
He made his home in the Highlands Section of Lowell. David enjoyed working as a roofer for most of his working career for area roofing companies. Currently, he worked as manager of an apartment complex. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and was an avid New England Patriots fan as well as an avid Boston Red Sox fan. He also enjoyed playing on and with computers.
In addition to his mother, Barbara, he is survived by two sisters, Dorothy A. McGarry of Dracut and Mary Gail Larochelle and her husband, Richard, of Lowell; a brother, Thomas Oliveira and his wife, Kathleen, of Dracut; his nieces and nephews, Deniene M. Savard of Dracut, Thomas Oliveira Jr. of Dracut, Lisa M. Christian of Lowell, Richard Larochelle Jr. of Dracut, Joshua R. Larochelle of Lowell, and Anthony Oliveira, currently serving with the United States Navy; his good friends, Linda Pouliot of Rochester, NH and David Homen of Lowell. He is also survivded by his son, Jayson.
He was also a brother of the late Donald Oliveira, the late Daniel Oliveira, and uncle of the late Kerrie Oliveira.
