Cynthia Baxter
LOWELL Cynthia Baxter, 85, of Lowell, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at Lowell General Hospital-Saints Campus, with her loving family by her side, after several months of declining health.
A daughter of the late Albert and the late Dorothy (Yorke) Baxter, she was born May 16, 1932, in Cambridge, and was educated in that area, graduating from Brighton High School, Class of 1950. After graduation, she joined and served with the United States Womens Army Corp. as an Army Medic and was honorably discharged in 1956. Before retirement, she had worked as a dietician for the Edith Nourse Rogers Veteran’s Hospital in Bedford .
Cynthia enjoyed traveling to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada for many years with her daughter and grandchildren, and especially loved beach trips that included lobster. She was a regular attendee of the Folk Festival, enjoying the food, music, and people, and when she was at home loved the Price Is Right. However, given the opportunity she would always choose spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren as her favorite pastime.
Her survivors include her daughter, Robin Baxter of Lowell; her granddaughters, Amy and her fiancee, Jose, of Lowell, Kim and her significant other, Ralph, of Lowell; her grandson, Todd and his significant other, Holly, of Dracut
her great grandchildren, Rocelia, Alex, Anastasia, Isaiah, Gabriella, Robbie, Vicky, Michaela, and Mykenzie all of Lowell, and Damien, Abbigail, Joshua, and Malakai and Tyler all of Dracut, and two additional great grandsons due this Spring; as well as her great, great grandchildren, Savannah, Gavin, Gemma and Armani all of Lowell, her sister, Nancy (Baxter)(McKay) Gunther and her husband George of Pepperell, and her niece, three nephews, and many grand nieces and grand nephews, and many great grand nieces and great grand nephews. Cynthia also will be fondly remembered by her many close friends from her neighborhood.
