Clarimundo C. Mendonca
LOWELL Clarimundo C. Mendonca, 75, of Lowell, died Friday, October 2, 2009, at Tewksbury Hospital after a long illness.
Born February 25, 1934, in Graciosa, Azores, Portugal, he was a son of the late Ranuio C. and the late Maria Gloria (Silva) Mendonca, and was educated in that area. In 1971, he came to the United States with his family, settling in Lowell’s Back Central Street Area, and was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church.
His survivors include his children, Eddie Mendonca of Amherst, NH, and Melanie Mendonca of Lowell; his grandchildren, Eddie Mendonca Jr. of Dracut, Casey Mendonca of Dracut, Kylie Dinis of Lowell, Amaya DaRosa of Lowell, Dominic DaRosa of Lowell; his sisters and and brothers, Hirondina DaSilva and her husband, Manuel, of Lowell, Diolinda Mesquita of Lowell, Lordes Veiga and her husband Manuel, of Lowell, Deocleceano Mendonca and his wife, Guadalupe, of Graciosa, and many nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Noe Mendonca, the late Bernadette Bettencourt, the late Maria Lobao and the late Eldevino Mendonca and the late John Mendonca.
