Clarence E. David
LONDONDERRY, NH Clarence E. David, 86, of Londonderry, NH, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the Parkland Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Patricia A. (Taff) David with whom he shared 61 years before she passed away in 2009.
A son of the late Royal A. David and the late Eva E. (Labombard) David, he was born on January 9, 1928 in Georgetown, MA. He grew up in Billerica, MA where he was educated in the local schools.
Mr. David proudly served his country with the United States Navy and the Navy Reserve and retired from the reserves as a Lieutenant Commander.
Clarence raised his family in Dracut where he lived for many years before more recently residing in Londonderry, NH. He loved spending time in Maine, where he formerly lived for a few years and where he enjoyed his vacation home. Clarence enjoyed playing tennis, working with his hands, especially woodworking. He also loved the Atlanta Braves.
He was a communicant of St. Francis Church in Dracut. Clarence was employed as a Regional Area Manager for the DCAA before his retirement at the age of 60.
He is survived by his children, Kenneth David and his wife, Patricia of Dover-Foxcroft, ME, Richard David and his wife, Jeanne of Farmington Hills, MI, Robert David and his wife, Donna of Nashua, NH, Donald David of Winchendon, MA, Edward David and his wife, Judy of East Hampstead, NH, and Mary David and her husband, Steve Daly of Tyngsboro, MA. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and his sons in law, Edward Olin of Lowell, MA, and Frank Montgomery of Dracut, MA; and his daughter in law, Nancy David of Andover, NH.
Clarence was also the father of the late Barbara Olin, James David, Linda Montgomery, John David, Nancy Goes, and Mark David.
