Claire Marie King
LOWELL Claire Marie King, 85, of Lowell, passed into eternal rest on Monday, December 29, 2014 at her home.
Born April 15, 1929, in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Frank V. and the late Mary T. (Walsh) King. She was raised in Lowell, where she attended the local schools graduating from Lowell High School, before moving on to graduate from Bryant and Stratton College with her Bachelors Degree.
Claire resided in the Highlands section of Lowell and was a communicant of St. Margaret Parish, where she was a member of the St. Margaret Sodality and the League of Catholic Women. She was employed as an office manager at Field Stamping Operations, Cooper Industries Inc. for many years before her retirement. Her philanthropy touched many lives, locally and worldwide. She enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles.
Claire is survived by her dear friend of many decades, Mary J. Capaldo of Raymond, NH. She was predeceased by her dear cousin and lifelong companion, Barbara A. King who passed away on March 19, 2014.
