Cidalia A. Silva
LOWELL Cidalia A. Silva, 78, a long time resident of Lowell, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Elias R. Silva who passed away in 2014 after 55 years of marriage.
A daughter of the late Izidro Silva and the late Doroteia Silva, she was born November 18, 1938, in Graciosa, Azores, Portugal, she was raised and educated in Graciosa. She came to the United States in 1974, settling in Lowell. She worked with Prince Packaging for many years as a Machine Operator/Packer and eventually retired from Americraft Packaging.
Cidalia enjoyed tending to her plants and flowers but most of all, she cherished time spent with her family, especially her beloved granddaughters, Olivia and Sophia.
She is survived by her son, Elio Silva of Lowell; her daughters, Maria Silva of Dracut and Alzira Picardi and her husband, Marc, of Dracut; her granddaughters, Olivia and Sophia Picardi both of Dracut; her brothers and sisters, Diomitilde, Jose, Carlos, Madelina and Rosa and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her siblings Daniel, Vivaldo and Maria.

YOU ARE ALSO WELCOME TO ATTEND HER FUNERAL, WHICH WILL BE HELD AT 10:30 A.M. ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 19 AT THE FUNERAL HOME. PROCESSION WILL FOLLOW FOR BURIAL AT LOWELL CEMETERY.
