Charlotte T. 'Char' (Hobbs) (Wilkins) Ogden

"Loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister"

LOWELL Charlotte T. 'Char' (Hobbs) (Wilkins) Ogden, 67, of Lowell, died Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at Massachusetts General Hospital after a courageous battle with aplastic anemia, a bone marrow disease. She was the widow of the late Robert Ogden who died in 2009.

Born June 8, 1943 in Lowell, and was a daughter of the late Joseph A. and the late Rolande A. (Godfroy) Hobbs. She was educated in the local area schools, graduating from Lowell High School and residing in Lowell most of her life.

She had been employed by Tremblay’s Bus Company of Dracut and enjoyed driving for them for over 27 years. She was a communicant of St. Louis Church and a member of the Monastery of Saint Claire Active Guild.

Char enjoyed her friends, neighbors, shopping, gardening, and crocheting. Her greatest joy was traveling to California and Florida to visit her family and grandchildren. Everyone that knew Char experienced her loving and giving ways as well as her wonderful sense of humor and never ending energy. The family would like to express its deepest gratitude for the exceptional care she received at Massachusetts General Hospital, the generosity of her sister, Nancy for being her bone marrow donor and Paul’s uncountable rides into Boston and his faithful companionship.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Finn and her husband, Jeffrey of Mission Viejo, CA; her son, Glen Wilkins and his wife, Denise of San Clemente, CA; her five grandchildren, Jeffrey Finn II, Crystal Finn, Landon Atwood, Keri Wilkins and Corbin Wilkins; her sisters and brothers, Patricia Patton of Orange Springs, FL, Nancy Thompson and her husband, Paul of Lowell, Jo-Ann Sylvia and her husband, Stanley of Billerica, and John Hobbs and his wife, Debra of Minisee, CA.

She was also the mother of the late Lorrie-Ann Atwood, who died in January 2004 and the sister of the late Albert Hobbs who died in August 2005.
