Catherine "Kay" (Wilson) Tully
"Beloved Mother and Grandmother"
LOWELL Catherine "Kay" (Wilson) Tully, 76, a lifelong Lowell resident, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on March 7, 2014, at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. She was predeceased by her husband, James W. Tully, with whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage.
She was born on July 26, 1937, in Lowell, where she attended local schools and graduated from Lowell High School in 1956. She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Mary Wilson of Lowell.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Kay also enjoyed bowling, cribbage, and going to the beach. Years ago she was an active social member of Mount Pleasant Golf Club.
Catherine is also survived by her nine children and their spouses: Leo and Catherine (Tully) Therriault of Lowell, James and Mary (Donovan) Tully of Dracut, Robert and Sheila (Tully) McMahon of Lowell, Barbara (Tully) Brady of Lowell, John and Judith (Tully) DuBay of Windham, Michael and Thea (Dukakis) Tully of Chelmsford, Scott and Patricia (Tully) Fuller of Lowell, Sean and Colleen (Kelly) Tully of Lowell, and Kevin and Anna (DeMello) Tully of Dracut. She is also survived by 34 grandchildren: Milissa Tully and Jason Parsons; Jennifer Frotten; Brian Therriault; James W. and Alison Tully; Robert J. and his wife Meghan (Kinney), Kristin, and Alysia McMahon; Tiffany Brady; Nicholas, Lindsay, and Megan Bedard; Amy, Rebecca, and John DuBay; Cortney (DuBay) Christian and her husband Richard; Jessica (DuBay) Choate and her husband, Ted; Evanthia, Catherine, Stratos, and Theona Tully; Michael Cook; Scott, Ryan, Gregory, and Gabrielle Fuller; Caitlin, Sean, and Seamus Tully; and Kevin Tully Jr. She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren, her sister Gloria Winn, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her grandsons Michael Frotten and John Michael Dubay Jr., by her brothers John "Jackie" Wilson, Ralph Wilson, and Charles Wilson, and her sisters Pamela LeBlanc and Mary Williams.
