Carmen Rosa (Hernandez) Cruz
CORAL SPRINGS, FL Carmen Rosa (Hernandez) Cruz, 68, of Coral Springs, Florida passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017 at North Broward Medical Center. She was the wife of Edwin Cruz with whom they celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary June 13.
She was born in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico on June 18, 1948 and was a daughter of the late Ramiro Hernandez and the late Nemencia Otero.
Mrs. Cruz resided in Lowell, MA for 26 years, before moving to Coral Springs, FL to be closer to her sisters. She was a communicant of St. Patrick Church in Lowell. She enjoyed knitting, word searches, and praying the daily rosary.
In addition to her husband, Edwin of Coral Springs, FL, she is survived by her four children: Maria Fontanez of Lowell, Yahaira Cruz of Vega Alta, Puerto Rico, Edwin Cruz Jr. of Burlington, and Ricardo Cruz of Mableton, GA; five brothers and sisters: Maria Hernandez of Coral Springs, FL, Francisco Hernandez of Inman, NC, Elisa Hernandez of Coral Springs, FL, Rafael Hernandez of Puerto Rico, and Victor M. Hernandez of Puerto Rico; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson, whom she loved dearly.
She was also the sister of the late Antonio Hernandez, Isabel Hernandez, Ramiro Hernandez, Jr., and Juanita Hernandez.

HER FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED FRIDAY AT ST. PATRICK CHURCH, 282 SUFFOLK STREET, LOWELL, AT 9:00 A.M.. BURIAL IN WESTLAWN II CEMETERY.
