Beloved Daughter, Mother, Sister and Friend
BOSTON Brenna (Zani) Hernandez, 41, of Lowell, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at Tufts Medical Center in Boston after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Peter Hernandez, with whom she just celebrated 5 years of marriage with in June.
A daughter of the Anthony Zani and Elinor (Bennett) Zani, she was born on April 29, 1977, in Cambridge. She was raised and educated in Chelmsford and was a graduate of Chelmsford High School with the Class of 1995. She was later a graduate of Blaine Beauty School.
Brenna was very active in the community. She spent most of her free time volunteering with local youth groups. She also coached basketball and loved being a dance mom at Planet Dance. She had a passion for makeup and liked to stay up to date with social media. She also enjoyed her work with Purehaven.
Besides her parents, Anthony and Elinor, and her husband, Peter, she is survived by her beloved daughter, Jalyn Pinales of Dracut, her brother, Tony Zani and his wife, Cynthia, of Pepperell, her sister, Ashley Bettencourt and her husband, Jack, of Dracut, her stepdaughter, Taya Hernandez, her niece and nephews, Anthony and Viviana Zani and John “J.J.” Bettencourt. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, including two of her best friends, Kristy Jones and Kerry Welch.
She was the step daughter of the late George E. Rudy who passed away last year.
