Barbara C. Monahan
CHELMSFORD Barbara C. (Ramey) Monahan, 86, of Chelmsford, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at D’Youville Senior Health Care Center after a brief illness. She was the widow of the late Joseph E. Monahan, who passed away in 2011.
A daughter of the late Bernof Ramey and the late Mary (Healey) Ramey, she was born April 21, 1930, in Somerville where she was raised and educated in the Somerville Medford area. Since the late 1950’s she resided in Framingham and raised her family there. In 1997, she retired to Cape Cod with her husband.
Barbara was a communicant of St. George’s Church in Framingham. She enjoyed reading and working on arts and crafts. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sister, Bernice Pagliarini of RI. Beloved Mother of Joseph A. Monahan and his partner, Julie Daniloff of Buzzards Bay, Sharon Monahan of Peterborough, NH, Brian Monahan and his partner, Marc Clermont of Lowell, and Maureen Monahan and her husband, Thomas Davis of Chelmsford; proud grandmother of Ariella Monahan, Andrea Monahan, Morgan Roberts, and Reece Roberts, and the great grandmother of Kaiden Monahan-Porter and Abigail Roberts.
