Asadaur Oscar Parigian
LOWELL Asadaur Oscar Parigian, 78, of Lowell, passed away sudenly Saturday, August 13, 2016 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Electra ‘Letty’ J. (Kominis) Parigian with whom he shared fifty four years.
He was born in Lowell, on October 22, 1937 and was a son of the late Manoug Parigian and the late Vartouhi (Buzdigian) Parigian. He attended the local schools, including the former Butler Middle School before graduating from Lowell High School.
Mr. Parigian served with the United States Marine Corps. during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War until his honorable discharge in 1964.
He resided in the Belvidere Section of Lowell and was a member of Saints Vartanantz Armenian Church in Chelmsford. Oscar owned Mr. Oscar’s Hair Fashions in Chelmsford for over 25 years before his retirement. He was a longtime member of the Lowell Lodge of Elks B.P.O. E. 62, the Lowell Lyons Club, and Longmeadow Country Club. Oscar loved collecting antique cars and was especially proud of his 1963 Studebaker Avanti. Although he had many passions throughout his life, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, was his favorite pastime.
In addition to his beloved wife, Letty Parigian, he is survived by two sons, Theodore C. Parigian and his wife, Corine of Atkinson, NH, and Mark S. Parigian of Lowell; and three grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, and Rachel Parigian, all of Atkinson, NH.
Oscar’s family would like to thank VNA Middlesex East's Stacey and Shannon for their compassionate care, along with the medical staff at Beth Israel Hospital of Boston for their care during this time

ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 17, 2016 YOU ARE INVITED TO HIS VISITATION FROM 10 - 10:50 A.M. AT SAINTS VARTANANTZ ARMENIAN CHURCH, 180 OLD WESTFORD ROAD, CHELMSFORD, MA. HIS FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD IN THE CHURCH DIRECTLY FOLLOWING THE CALLING HOURS AT 11 A.M.. A PROCESSION WILL FOLLOW FOR BURIAL IN EDSON CEMETERY IN LOWELL.
