Arthur David ‘Artie’ Simard
LOWELL Arthur David ‘Artie’ Simard, 75, of Lowell, died Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill. He was widower of the late Brenda (Fairweather) Simard who passed away in 2003 after Twenty Five years of marriage.
Born January 27, 1936, in Everett, he was a son of the late Archie and the late Rose (Gionnete) Simard, and grew up and was educated in Everett.
Artie worked for Trombley as a bus driver for fifteen years, and especially enjoyed driving to the Lakes. He also enjoyed horse racing, spending time at the track, as well as spending time at home.
He is survived by his children, Gary Simard of Dracut, Wendy Simard and her companion, John Rogers, of Lowell, Lisa Ustaszewski of Michigan, Jeannie Gianopoulos of Lynn, Paul Ustaszewski of Boston, and Serge Ustaszewski and his wife, Nancy, of Alaska; seventeen grandchildren; and two nieces, Carol Killroy and Elizabeth Killroy.
