Anthony F. ‘Tony’ Coelho
LOWELL Anthony F. ‘Tony’ Coelho, 52, of Lowell, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, January 23, 2013. He was a son of the late Antonio and the late Cecilia (Freitas) Coelho.
Born July 30, 1960, in Malden, he briefly lived in Medford before moving with his family to Lowell in 1960, where he made his lifelong home. He was a graduate of the Greater Lowell Vocational High School, Class of 1979.
Mr. Coelho was a classic car enthusiast and enjoyed spending time with his friends at Cappy’s Copper Kettle, and was a dedicated Three Stooges Fan having attended conventions in their honor in California. He enjoyed taking walks by the Merrimack River on Pawtucket Boulevard, but expecially enjoyed going to Hampton Beach with his daughter, Melanie.
In addition to his daughter, Melanie Coelho of Dracut, he is survived by his sister, Maria F. Greenwood and her husband, David J. Greenwood, of Lowell; his Godchild and niece, Alicia C. Greenwood of Beverly along with his niece, Amy E. Greenwood, of Lowell; and many cousins throughout the United States, Canada, Madeira, Portugal, and Australia. Tony will be missed by his many friends throughout the area including his coworkers at Phillips Academy and his close friends, Rick Patterson and his wife, Donna, of Lowell and Rusty Lobas and his family of Lowell. He is also survived by his childhood friends from Christian Hill.
He was predeceased by Jennifer ‘Jenna’ Gagne.
