Anna T. Sullivan
Head Nurse at St. John's Hospital
LOWELL Anna T. Sullivan, 91, a lifelong resident of Lowell having lived her entire life in the same family house, died Friday, March 18, 2011, at Wingate at Belvidere after a period of declining health.
A daughter of the late Cornelius and the late Nora (Lyons) Sullivan, she was born March 30, 1919, in Lowell, and educated in the local schools, graduating from Sacred Heart School, Lowell High School, and St. John’s School of Nursing.
She made her lifelong home in Lowell, and was a member of the former Sacred Heart Parish, and a communicant of Holy Family Parish and was a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality.
Employed for forty years at Saint John’s Hospital as a Registered Nurse, she retired as Day Supervisor of Nursing. Upon her retirement, Anna used her skills as a nurse to be the primary care giver for her brother, Joseph.
Anna enjoyed her family and family get togethers and she and Joseph made two trips to Ireland. In retirement, she took knitting classes and made many lovely items for her nieces and nephews and their families and will be remembered as being very generous to all her family. She also enjoyed reading, especially the Lowell Sun, and kept up on current news and current events.
Her survivors include her brother, Timothy A. Sullivan of North Tewksbury; her sister in law, Ann M. Sullivan; her nieces, Margaret Sullivan and her husband, Joseph Mansour, of Methuen, Mary Pyne and her husband, Joseph, of Lowell, and Karen Follett and her husband, Thomas, of Lowell; her grand nieces and grand nephews, Alex Mansour, Angela Mansour, Christopher Pyne and Rebecca Rosen, Courtney Pyne and Joseph Gervais, Elizabeth Last and Patrick Last, John Follett and Angel Follett, and Megan Smith and Jason Smith;
and her great great neices, Jaymie Last, Catelyn Last, Eliza Smith, and Amira Follett.
She was also a sister of the late Paul Sullivan, the late Joseph F. Sullivan, and the late John Sullivan; and sister in law of the late Anne Sullivan and the late Alice Sullivan.

HER FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT HOLY FAMILY PARISH AT ST. MARIE CHURCH, 75 CHAMBERLAIN ST. LOWELL AT 11 A.M.. A PROCESSION WILL FOLLOW FOR BURIAL AT ST. PATRICK CEMETERY.
