Ann Frances Bourque

Devoted Wife, Mother, and Grandmother

LOWELL Ann Frances (Welch) Bourque, 79, of Lowell, died Friday, July 15, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Paul Bourque, with whom she would have celebrated their fifty-eighth year of marriage this upcoming August.

Born April 1, 1932, in Lowell, she was a daughter of the late William Welch, and the late Margaret (Phuswoski) Welch, attended the local schools, graduating from Keith Hall with the class of 1950, before becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1972.

She was a lifelong Lowell resident and a devoted Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. She enjoyed caring for her family and friends. She was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Lowell area for many years. In her younger days, she worked for the Internal Revenue Service and as a reporter for the Lowell Sun Newspaper.

Besides her husband, Paul, she is survived by her children, Paul Bourque and his wife, Gina of West Virginia, Colleen Pelletier and her husband, Fran of Saco, ME, and Maureen Bossi of Chelmsford; five grandchildren, Alex Pelletier and his wife, Kristen of Old Orchard Beach, Luke Pelletier of Saco, ME, and Trevor Bossi, Derek Bossi, and Rachel Bossi all of Chelmsford; a sister, Katherine Ferriera of Chelmsford; and her dear friends, Frannie and Rita.

She was a sister of the late Joseph Welch, the late William Welch, the late Paul Welch, the late Leo Welch, the late Francis Welch, the late Arthur Welch, the late John Welch, and the late Margaret Riley.
