Angelina T. Pacheco


LOWELL Angelina T. (Brum) Pacheco, 93, of Lowell, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017, at Radius Northwood Health Care Center in Lowell. She was the widow of the late Daniel Pacheco who passed away in 2002.


A daughter of the late Eugenio Tavares Brum and the late Angelina Tavares Pereira, she was born November 11, 1923, in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal, and was raised and educated in that area. In 1963, she moved with her family to the United States, settling in Lowell, to give her children more opportunities. Angelina was a very hard working mother and was employed as a seamstress at Lowell Stitching and Pleasant Dress in Lowell until her retirement.


She was very involved in the Portuguese Community in Lowell and was a devoted communicant of St. Anthony’s Church. Angelina was a very full of life and loved supporting everyone around her. She loved taking care of others and was always supportive when someone needed a helping hand. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Angelo T. Pacheco of Lowell, Cidalia 'Sandy' M. Demetropoulos of Florida, Louisa M. Therriault and her husband, Paul of Lowell, Delia M. Pacheco-Day and her husband, Frederick of Groton, and Maria Surprenant of Scarborough, ME; her many grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Francisco Brum and Virginio Tavares; four sisters, Maria Deus Medeiros, Espirito Santo Pimental, Maria Lourdes Tavares, and Trindade Tavares; and many nieces and nephews.


She was also the mother of the late Antonio T. Brum and the late Daniel P. Pacheco Jr.

YOU ARE INVITED TO HER CALLING HOURS FROM 4 UNTIL 8 P.M. ON FRIDAY.

ON SATURDAY, HER FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 9 A.M. AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816.

HER FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT ST. ANTHONY CHURCH, 893 CENTRAL STREET, LOWELL AT 10 A.M.. BURIAL IN ST. PATRICK CEMETERY.

IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, DONATIONS IN HER MEMORY MAY BE MADE TO: ST. ANTHONY CHURCH, 893 CENTRAL STREET, LOWELL, MA 01852.
