Ana M. (Mendonca) Veillette

Beloved Daughter, Mother, Grandmother, and Sister

LOWELL Ana M. (Mendonca) Veillette, 49, of Lowell, died peacefully in her sleep Friday, June 22, 2012 at her home.

Born May 14, 1963, in Terceira, Azores, Portugal, and she was a daughter of Manuel B. Mendonca, and Maria I. (DaSilva) Mendonca both of Lowell. Ana came to the United States with her family in 1968, when she was 5 years old, settling in Lowell where she attended the local schools and graduated from Lowell High School.

She resided in the Back Central Street neighborhood and was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church. She was employed as Activities Director for Pines of Tewksbury Living Community. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time at the library. Ana was also known as a connoisseur of chocolate.

In addition to her parents, Manuel and Maria, she is survived by two sons, Adam R. Veillette and Curtis J. Veillette both of Lowell; three brothers, Virginio M. Mendonca of Chelmsford, John M. Mendonca and his wife, Robin of North Andover, and Steve S. Mendonca and his wife, Elizabeth of Lowell; one granddaughter, Autumn Sky Veillette of Lowell; one uncle, Virginio Silva and his wife, Teresa of Lowell; her cousins, Linda Silva, Susan Santos, and Robert Silva; two nieces, Heather and Julia; a nephew, Christopher.

FUNERAL NOTICE

VEILLETTE Ana M. (Mendonca) Veillette, 49, of Lowell, died June 22. You are invited to Her Calling Hours from 4 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26. On Wednesday, Her Funeral will begin at 9 a.m. at the McDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816. Her Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Anthony's Church, 893 Central Street, in Lowell at 10 a.m.. Burial in Westlawn II Cemetery.
