Alcy Monteiro
LOWELL Alcy (Dias) Monteiro, 87, of Lowell, passed away Monday, October 28, 2019, after a long illness. She was the widow of the late Jose Monteiro, with whom she had celebrated twenty two years of Marriage before his death.
A daughter of the late Jose Azevedo Dias and the late Maria (Silva) Dias, she was born June 18, 1932, in Espirito Santo, Brazil, and was raised and educated in Brazil, attending the Irma Zelia School.
In 2003, she came to the United States with her family, and made her home in Lowell. She worked as a chef in Brazil, and continued her love of cooking any chance she got. She also loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Luiza Monteiro of Brazil; her son, Eduardo Monteiro of Lowell; and her grandson, Moses Monteiro of Lynn; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her four siblings.

Uma missa fúnebre será realizada na Holy Family Parish, 30 Grafton St. Lowell, MA no sábado, 2 de novembro de 2019 às 11:00. Haverá uma pequena recepção dentro da igreja após a missa.
Também de acordo com a tradição brasileira, a missa de 7 dias será celebrada no mesmo local no domingo, 3 de novembro de 2019 às 11:30

Mrs. Alcy Montiero , of Rio de Janeiro , passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019 at the age of 87.
A funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Parish, 30 Grafton St. Lowell, MA on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 11:00 AM. There will be a small reception within the church following the mass.
Also in accordance with Brazilian tradition, the 7-day mass will be celebrated at the same location on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at 11:30 AM
The family is grateful for the condolences, but declines flowers and donations.
