Alberto "Kico" Rios
LOWELL Alberto 'Kico' Rios, 55, of Lowell, died, Sunday, June 9, 2013, at Brighams and Womens Hospital in Boston. He was the husband of Deborah J. (Sheehan) Rios, whom he shared his life with since 1974, and married in 1996.
Born November 18, 1957, in Brooklyn, New York, he was a son of Alba (Torres) Rios, and the late Jose Rios, was educated in that area, and graduated from Ford High School. In his late teens he relocated to Massachusetts to live with his brother.
Kico was a kind hearted, generous, giving man, who formerly made his home on Powell Street and Smith Street before residing in Pawtucketville. He was a hardworking carpet installer working for many years for Sunshine Carpet in Chelmsford and also worked as a contractor for local carpet companies. He also worked as a circuit board plater for Pope Industries. He was a sports fan and loved the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
Besides his wife, Deborah, he is survived by his children, Angela Sheehan and her fiancee, Abashi Muriel of Lowell, Michael A. Sheehan and his fiancee, Melinda Gavin, of Lowell, and Jonathan E. Sheehan and his wife, Susan Sengsirivanh, of Lowell; his grandchildren, Sarina V. Sheehan of Lowell, Jared M. Guarino of Lowell, and Troy X. Nguyen of Lowell; his brothers, Luis Rios of Lowell and Jose Rios of Howell, NJ; his sister, Wanda Rios of Isabella, PR; his mother in law, Edith C. Sheehan of Lowell; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
