Therese M. Ducharme
LOWELL Therese M. (Sayball) Ducharme, 88, of Lowell, died Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Lowell General Hospital after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of Paul R. Ducharme for the past 68 years.
A daughter of the late Harry and the late Alice (Desmarteau) Sayball, she was born November 15, 1925, in Lowell, and educated in the local schools, graduating from Lowell High School.
For more than sixty eight years, she has made her home in Lowell, residing in South Lowell for most of that time, and was an active communicant of Holy Family Parish at St. Marie’s Church, as well as St. Anne’s Sodality and St. Vincent DePaul. In earlier days, enjoyed playing golf, singing, especially with ‘Chorale Orion’, playing cribbage, gardening, and teaching high school CCD. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. In earlier days she was also active with the House of Hope and with numerous other organizations throughout the area.
Therese held various jobs throughout the years, but none more important to her than her role as a mother and grandmother.
In addition to her husband, Paul, she is survived by her children, Ron Ducharme of Lowell, Sheryl DiGiovanni and her husband, Dominic of Brockton, Donna Marie St. Louis and her husband, William of Lowell, and Mary Gail McCarthy and her husband, Robert of Lowell; her grandchildren, Renae Brown, Stuart Thellen, Katrina Skinner, Jayne Ducharme, Jennifer Rondeau, Michael St. Louis, Ryan McCarthy, Timothy McCarthy, and Helen Hagenau; her great grandchildren, Nathan Thellen, Darren Thellen, Cheyenne Brown, Demetri Brown, Kyle Thellen, Matthew Thellen, Cody Thellen, Brandon Thellen, Erika Silva, Jordan Delgado, Scot Skinner, Tyler Rondeau, Jasmine Rondeau, and Beckett Hagenau; her great great grandchildren, Natalie and Lauren Silva; her in laws, Rita Sayball, Robert and Pauline Ducharme, Joseph and Terry Ducharme, and Gert Ducharme; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the grandmother of the late Brian Thellen; and sister of the late Dennis Sayball and Rita Schultz.
