Ray J. Levasseur
LOWELL Ray J. Levasseur, 53, of Lowell, died Jan. 3, after a long battle with cancer.
A son of Angela T. (Cafeteira) (Levasseur) Bernier of Lowell and the late Armand Levasseur, he was born May 4, 1954, in Lowell, and educated in the local schools and attended College.
Mr. Levasseur served with the United States Army during Peacetime. He lived in California and Florida before returning to Lowell, and worked as a collection agent until disability forced his retirement.
In addition to his mother, Angela and her husband, Fred Bernier, survivors include two brothers, Francis Levasseur and his wife, Priscilla, of South Carolina, and Armand Levasseur and his wife, Betty, of CT; a sister, Beverly Levasseur of Old Saybrook, CT; many cousins among them Suzanne A. Marr and Edward Rocha both of Lowell, and John and his wife Maureen Flory of Cocoa Beach, FL, Peter Flory and his wife Sharon of FL; his dear friend, Jo Raptis of Lowell; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was also the brother of the late David Levasseur.
