Phyllis R. 'Sis' Greenhalge
"Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Sister"
LOWELL Phyllis R. 'Sis' (Corey) Greenhalge, 76, a lifelong Lowell resident, died unexpectedly Thursday, May 24, 2012 at her home.
Born May 11, 1936, in Lowell, she was a daughter of the late James E. Corey, and the late Rita (Normandin) Corey, attended the local schools, and graduated from Chelmsford High School.
She was a longtime Highlands resident, and a communicant of St. Margaret's Church. She loved animals, especially horses and her dogs, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Phyllis was the former wife of John F. Greenhalge whom survives her as the father of her seven children, James Greenhalge of Miami, FL, John 'Jackie' Greenhalge and his wife, Rebecca of Lowell, Joanne M. Cormier and her husband, Jeff of Lowell, Kevin Lehouillier and his wife, Michelle of Pepperrell, and Ricky Greenhalge and his wife, Stacy of Lowell; ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; two daughters in law, Sharon Greenhalge of Lowell and Emmy Greenhalge of Lowell; two sisters, Joan Hancock of Newburyport, MA and Pamela Cooney and her husband, Dan of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Cathy A. (Greenhalge) Kelly and the late Jay P. Greenhalge.
You are invited to her Funeral Mass on Thursday, May 29, at 9:30 a.m. at ST. MARGARET'S CHURCH, 374 Stevens St., Lowell MA. Procession will follow for burial at Lowell Cemetery.
