Luis F. Barajas
LOWELL Luis F. Barajas, 73, of Lowell, died Wednesday, January 28, 2009, at Saints Medical Center after a long illness. He was the husband of Liseta (Lourenco) Barajas, with whom he celebrated their Twenty Fourth Wedding Anniversary last year.
Born June 16, 1935, in Bogota, Colombia, he was educated in that area. In 1970, he came to the United States, living in New Jersey for while and working at a Casino. He relocated to Lowell in the early 1980’s, and met and married his wife, Liseta. He made his home in Lowell and was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church.
He worked for Majilite before working for Joan Fabrics until his retirement. He enjoyed fixing houses and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Liseta, he is survived by three daughters, Danubia Costa and her husband, John, of Lowell, Helena Robitaille of Florida, and Mary Ventresca and her husband, Mark, of Maine; six grandchildren; a brother in law, Duarte Lourenco and his wife, Fernanda, of Portugal; a sister in law, Fatima Santos and her husband, Faustino, of Portugal; and many nieces and nephews.
