CHELMSFORD Lucy (Dulgarian) Dumanian, age 91, a lifelong resident of Chelmsford, passed away on August 14, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late John Dumanian for over 53 years before he passed away in 2006.
She was born in Lowell on August 27, 1922, a daughter of the late Tateoss and Satenig (Vartanian) Dulgarian. Lucy graduated from Chelmsford High School with the class of 1939 and continued on to graduate from Salem Teachers College with the class of 1943, earning her Bachelors Degree in Teaching.
Early in her career, she taught at Chelmsford High School and Orange High School. She later worked for the Federal Government with the Electronic Systems Division at Hanscom Air Force Base, retiring after 34 years of dedicated service. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be dearly missed by her loving children.
Lucy is survived by her three children, Andrew, Audrey, and L. Robert Dumanian all of Chelmsford; and two brothers, Stephen Dulgarian and his wife, Angele of Chelmsford, John Dulgarian of Tewksbury; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth Dulgarian of Chelmsford.
