Jose P. Silva
LOWELL Jose P. Silva, 68, of Lowell, died Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at Lowell General Hospital-Saints Campus, after a long illness.
Born July 27, 1944, in Terceira, Azores, Portugal, he was a son of the late Josep P. Silva and the late Maria Emilia (Paula) Silva. He was educated in that area, and came to the United States in 1974 to be closer to his family.
Jose loved soccer, especially Porto, was a member of the Portuguese American Club ‘The Blues’ and the Portuguese American Civic League, ‘The Reds’, and liked to watch Western Films. He was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church.
He worked for Prince Spaghetti before becoming affiliated with Inforex Electronics in Burlington as a shipper.
He is survived by his daughter, Paula Harrison and her husband, Jeff, of Hudson, NH; his sister, Laura P. Silva of Lowell; his brother, Ezequiel A. Silva and his wife, Maria Bettencourt, of Peabody and many nieces and nephews including his nephew and caretaker, Orlando Silva, of Lowell, as well as many grand nieces and grand nephews.
He was also a brother of the late Jose Silva and the late Maria DeArcensao.
