Beloved Mother and Devoted Parishioner of St. Rita’s Church
DRACUT Hilda C. (Camara) Latessa, 95, of Lowell, died Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Heritage Nursing Care Center. She was the widow of Philip A. Latessa who passed away in 2003 after sharing 60 years of marriage.
Born April 12, 1921, in Lowell, she was a daughter of the late Bento Camara, and the late Mary (Freitas) Camara. She was raised and educated in Lowell. She worked at the Courier Citizen in the quality control department for many years before her retirement. She made her home in Dracut for most of her life.
Hilda enjoyed time spent with her family and was devoted to her faith as a longtime active communicant of St. Rita’s Church.
She is survived by her two sons, Philip B. Latessa and his wife Judy of Des Moines, Iowa, and Daniel J. Latessa and his wife Norma, of Lowell; five grandchildren Michelle and her husband Eric Zepeda of Des Moines, Iowa, Michael Latessa of Pleasant Hill, Iowa, Stephen Latessa of Lowell, Jeffrey Latessa of Nashua, and Jonathan Latessa of Somerville; her sister Gabriella McKinnon of Lowell; and her three great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Emily, and Abigail. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Mary Jorge of Manchester, NH.

FOLLOWING THE CALLING HOURS, HER FUNERAL SERVICE WILL TAKE PLACE IN THE FUNERAL HOME AT 10 A.M. BURIAL IN ST. PATRICK CEMETERY.
