WESTBROOK, ME Ellen (Murphy) Driscoll, 54, of Westbrook, Maine, passed away after a lengthy illness surrounded by her children and loved ones, Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House. She was the wife of Francis Driscoll with whom she shared 19 years.
Ellen was born November 5, 1960, in Lowell, she was a daughter of the late Terence P. Murphy and Sheila A. (Duffy) Murphy of Chelmsford. She was a recent graduate of the University of Maine, earning an associates degree in criminal justice.
She was formerly of Lowell, Chelmsford, and Honolulu, Hawaii before residing in Maine for many years where she was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Westbrook, Maine. Ellen and her husband, Francis, owned and managed several properties throughout the Portland, Maine area. She was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella. Ellen enjoyed being a mother, riding horses, reading, listening to classical music, and talking politics.
In addition to her husband, Francis, she is survived by her four children, Mark Finocchario and his wife, Kristine of Marlborough, MA, Jordon Dupuis of Lewiston, ME, Taylor M. Driscoll of Boston, MA, and Jenna S. Driscoll of Westbrook, ME; and her three grandchildren, Jack, Nora, and Riley. Ellen is also survived by her siblings, Terence P. Murphy of Chelmsford, MA, James M. Murphy of Chelmsford, MA, Margaret A. Murphy of Groton, MA, and John F. Murphy of Seattle, WA; her favorite cousin, Courtney Duffy of Seabrook; her longtime friend, Wendy Caisse of Durham, ME; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
