Elio M. Conde
LOWELL Elio M. Conde, 56, of Lowell, died Friday, January 6, 2012, at Lowell General Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born November 11, 1955, in Graciosa, Portugal, he was a son of Neri A. (Mendonca) Conde of Graciosa, Azores, Portugal, and the late Manuel Conde, and was educated in that area. He served in the Portuguese Army.
In the late 1980’s, he moved his family to the United States settling in Lawrence before moving to Lowell, where he made his home the Back Central Street Area of the City. He was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church. Elio was a very hard working man in the Construction Trade, and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed fishing off Gloucester, vegetable gardening, and preparing for fishing. He also enjoyed scratch tickets, trips to Foxwoods Casinos, playing cards, and traveling to Graciosa to see his Mother and family. He will be remembered by family and friends for his fun side and the many times he pranked them.
In addition to his mother, Neri, he is survived by his sons, Steven M. Conde of Salem, NH, Mauel F. Conde of Salem, NH, and Rui D. Conde of Salem, NH; his twin grand daughters, Olivia Lynn and Isabella Ann of Salem, NH; and several nieces and nephews.
